- These engineers get job in central government, state governments and their sponsored corporations in public sector and in all wings of armed forces and also in the private organizations where the entry level aspirants can get a starting salary of minimum Rs. 2.2 l. p.a. to Rs. 4.5 l.p.a. excluding other allowances.
- With more experience or as an established independent consultant one could earn more, Senior engineers can earn anywhere in between Rs. 6 l.p.a. and Rs. 12 l.p.a.
- Those at management levels on large automated plants can earn even higher, in reputed private sector companies and MNC's, these earnings could be just twice as much as indicated above, as a person reaches senior levels.
- There are many reputed Indian Corporates & Multinationals in the field of Electrical Instrumentation and process control (Honeywell, Rockwell Automation, Shneider, Siemens... to name a few) and internationally, and also Indian Companies are securing huge contracts building power houses & transmission and distribution infrastructure, EPC and overhauling and turn key contracts, in addition to India operations.
