The group recognises the key role that IT plays
in teaching as well as in research. Therefore, it is committed
to providing computing facilities of the highest standards. A
high-speed optical fibre network allows all the students to access
a range of services across our campus including all computer labs.
All the computer labs are equipped with servers
and computers of the latest P-4 series and are connected to printers,
scanners etc. The current range of software that is available
at the labs include Operating System (Win 2003 Advance Server,
Win 2000/ ME/XP, Unix, Linux), Databases (MS SQL 2000, Oracle
9i), Tools (Visual Studio 6.0, Visual Studio. Net, JDK) and all
advanced range of servers from Microsoft under the MSDN Academic
Alliance Program.
Experienced faculty members manage the labs.
Students are divided into small groups to ensure personalized
guidance.
