(Hindustan Institute of Medical
Sciences and Research), is a socio-corporate hospital
situated in NCR (Greater Noida), run by Sharda Group of
Institutions. This hospital is established to offer medical
facility to the needy patients in and around Greater Noida
, India and abroad. We are equipped with all modern facilities
and sophisticated medical equipment, with the objective
of providing comprehensive healthcare under one roof to
all sections of the community. Our departments are headed
by highly qualified and experienced consultants; many of
them are renowned doctors in their respective fields.
Sharda

and concessional treatment to the economically weaker section
of the society and on the other hand it is planning to have
luxurious rooms for the rich.. The hospital is also planning
to set-up Health Centers in nearby areas to provide affordable,

It is our endeavor to provide modern medical care to our patients,
encourage research activities, to give extensive training
to medical students and continuously improve healthcare

Indoor Beds:
500 Beds operational, Total 1200 beds project.
Out Patient Department:
There are well-furnished consulting rooms for consultation
with a very large waiting areas for the patients. The OPD
begins at 9.00 am in all departments like General Medicine,
General & Laparascopic surgery, Obs & Gyne, Pediatrics,
Orthopedics, Skin & V.D., Ophthalmology, Dental, ENT,
Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Urology, Neurology,
Traumatology, Physiotherapy.
Emergency & Trauma Services:
A 24-hour emergency
service is provided. This area is manned by qualified doctors
and nurses round the clock.
I.C.U.:
50 bedded I.C.U.
and Critical Care Department.
Pathology Department:
A fully equipped
Pathology Laboratory is functioning at our institution round
the clock & 365 days a year services are available.
All the Biochemical, Hematological, Histo-Pathology and
Microbiological investigations are carried out. However,
to provide quick services, we have Computerized Auto Analyzer
for complete Biochemistry, drug levels and blood cell counter.
Radiology Department:
Spiral C.T. Scan
Colour Dopler, U.S.G.
X-ray machines with 500mA and 100 mA capabilities respectively.
This department is routinely carrying out all investigations
including contrast studies.
By the next year we are planning to install M.R.I.,Mammography
unit and image intensifier.
Operation Theatre:
5 major operation theatres are functioning. In addition labor
rooms in the Gynecology department also exists. Surgeries
like hysterectomy, Cataract and other eye surgeries etc.
are being carried away.
Department of MAS (Minimal Access Surgery):
Surgeries
like, Gall bladder stone removal, Hernia, Kidney & uretric
stone, Hydrocele, piles, fissure, fistula, prostrate enlargement
etc. are being carried away. MAS includes Laparoscopic Cholycystectomy,
Lap. Hernia repair, Lap. Appendicectomy,L.A.V.H.(Lap. Assisted
Vaginal Hysterectomy) and all other Laparoscopic Surgeries.
Department of General Medicine:
This department in headed by Dr. M. K. Mahapatra, MD (Med),
Prof. of Medicine. All types of cardiac diseases, respiratory
disease and tropical disease are being treated in this department.
Department of Obs & Gyne:
This department in headed by Dr. Archna Mehta, MD (Gy &
Obs) and provides treatment for vaginal infections, pelvic
inflammatory disease, menstrual irregularities in OPD services
along with antennal checkup, infertility clinic, papsmaer/endometrial
biopsy, HSG, Multiload/Ca-T insertions, MTP by means of
medicines. 24 Hours facility for delivery and caesarean
section. Surgeries like MTP, D&C, Suction & Evacuation,Cervical
Biopsy, Removal of vaginal& valval cysts, removal of
ovarian cysts, Laprotomy, Abdominal Hysterectomy, Myomectomy,Vaginal
Hysterectomy, Sterilization are being carried away.
Department of Rheumatology:
This department in run by Dr. P. D. Rath, MD, FSASMS, Fellow
(NIMS), Rheumatologist. The treatment is available for Osteoarthritis,
Rheumatoid Arthritis, S.L.E., Scleroderma, Childhood Arthritis,
Gout, and Osteoarthritis.
Department of Skin & V.D.:
This department in headed by Dr. Bhawna Wadhwa, MD(Derma),
DNB (Derma). The procedures being done in this department
are Paring of warts, Kott mounts for examination of fungi,
Extirpation, Nail dipping & kott preparation for fungal
infection, chemical cauterization(TCA) for warts etc., electrocauterization
for warts & skin tags, skin biopsy.
Department of Traumatology:
This department is headed by Dr. Pushkar Chawla, M.S. (Ortho),
Trauma-Fellowship through DNB. Highly specialized and well-equipped
trauma center is run by specially trend Trauma Surgeon with
24 hours back-up of well trained staff. This is the unique
project in Greater Noida and adjoining area to treat multiple
injury patients following road traffic and industrial accidents.
Department of Dental Surgery:
This department in headed by Prof. Dr. Jagdish H.G..,
BDS,MDS. The department has 25 modern dental chairs. All
kinds of dental diseases are treated here.
Department of Ophthalmology:
This department in headed by Dr. Anand Verma, MS (Ophthal).
