The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized computer adaptive test in Mathematics and English language. This entrance exam is conducted for the measurement of aptitude to succeed academically in graduate business studies. Many business schools use this entrance exam as one of its selection criteria for admission into MBA Program. By taking GMAT Exam, an individual can a good chance for getting admission at prestigious colleges. This exam is only administrated through computer that is delivered in testing centers all around the world. It measures verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills of the students. For attempting the questions, the time frame is 3.5 hours only in each of three tested areas. The GMAT Score is valid for five years and the date starts from when the candidate sits for the exam until the date of matriculation.
The GMAT Exam can be divided into three sections i.e. Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), Quantitative section and verbal section. The description for these sections is as follows:-

Analytical Writing Assessment: - The Analytical Writing Assessment Test contains two essays. In the first essay, student should have to analyze an argument and in the second one, the examinee must analyze an issue. This essay is analyzed by two readers that give score after analyzing. Its first reader is Intellimetric i.e. a proprietary computer program that is developed by Vantage Learning and its second readers are humans who evaluate the quality of the candidate’s ideas.

Quantitative Section: - The Quantitative section of GMAT Exam contains 37 objective type questions which must be attempted within 75 minutes. In this section, there are two types of questions i.e. problem solving and data sufficiency. In problem-solving questions, the problems are related to arithmetic, basic algebra and elementary geometry. On the other hand, Data sufficiency is a unique type of math questions especially designed for GMAT Exam.

Verbal Ability: - This section of GMAT Exam comprises of 41 multiple choice questions that must be attempted within 75 minutes. In verbal section, there are there are three types of questions i.e. sentence correction, critical reasoning and reading comprehension. One can get score from 0 to 60 points in this section.
