- The Sharda Educational Trust was therefore formed as an educational initiative in response to the emerging trends, by a group of leaders from industry, trade, business and academia with an affirm objective of providing "Professional Education to meet Global Challenges".
- The Trust started off with it’s first venture in 1996 by establishing “Hindustan College of Science and Technology", located on the National Highway #2 between Agra and Mathura with a Student Strength of 60 and now has expanded to run fourteen colleges from four campuses with a strength of 21000 students, collectively termed as Sharda Group of Institutions (SGI).
