One of the major challenges facing 21st-century India is bridging the growing gap between professional education and employability (meeting industry expectations). There is often a difference between what industry expects from graduates and what academic institutions traditionally teach. The Training & Development (T&D) Department plays a crucial role in addressing this challenge by aligning academic learning with industry requirements.
Our Objective
The primary objective of the Training & Development Department is to synchronize industry expectations with the academic learning in so far as behavioural competences or concerned. The department focuses on integrating behavioral competencies, professional and soft skills, and industry-relevant competency development training within the existing educational framework, so that students graduate as industry-ready professionals.

Today’s employers expect engineering and business graduates to possess strong capabilities in three broad areas:
• Strong Subject Knowledge
• Application Domain Skills (Technical Skills)
• Positive Attitude and Behavioral Competencies to suit workplace requirements
With increasing competition and rising operational costs, organizations prefer professionals who can be quickly deployed to contribute value with minimal induction and training time. Therefore, employers value graduates who demonstrate strong technical expertise along with professional behavioural maturity & soft skills. The technical skills part is taken care of by the department through special training modules & the Institute Industry Cell, where as the Professional Behavioural Competency part falls in the domain of T&D Department

The department also conducts programs that focus on values, ethics, and responsible professional behaviour. Total 232 hrs. of classroom engagement along with 80 hrs. in workshop mode preparation time is ensured per batch
